Arturo Collaso

       Born in Mexico and raised in San Jose, California, Arturo Collaso has always had a deep love for the performing arts. Though his passion for the stage began at a young age, it wasn’t until his sophomore year of high school that he officially stepped into the spotlight—and he hasn’t looked back since. As a proud Mexican performer, Arturo strives to bring stories to life with energy, emotion, and authenticity while showcasing his culture and amplifying his community’s voice in the performing arts. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, he is dedicated to the magic of performing and the power it has to inspire, connect, and entertain.

       Arturo is a graduate from AMDA College of the Performing Arts with a BFA in Musical Theater. During his time at AMDA, he has developed a strong foundation in musical theater, learning invaluable skills that have shaped his growth as an artist. Some of his favorite roles include Lord Farquaad in Shrek the Musical (CMTSJ), Bobby Strong in Urinetown (CMTSJ), and Robert Martin in The Drowsy Chaperone (AMDA). Arturo is excited to continue his journey in theater and or film and television; ready for the next challenge and always eager to grow, learn, and connect!
